anti-me in technicolour

Mon Jun 20, 2005, 6:51 PM
i'm feeling very anti-me
in shades of swirling greens
lines and textures of deepest blues
like the tumbling seas

I'm feeling very washed away
like the river bed
the flowing hills and deep revines
splashed in georgia red

I'm feeling very low today
like the grey street rat
weaving through the sewer pipes
ugly, disgusting, and fat

i'm feeling very black inside
dark and so alone
wishing someone would take the time
to stop and pick up the phone

i'm feeling lack of colour
clear as the morning sky
or the rain that falls from the heavens
or tears down my cheek when i cry

i'm feeling very anti-me
in shades of swirling greens
lines and textures of deepest blues
like the tumbling seas...

remember that you are young. there certainly have been periods in my growth where i was very unsatisfied by my art. its like building a house, you have to start with a solid foundation. without college none of my painting would exist. brilliant professors and teachers paved the way for me and pushed me to push myself. You can do it too! if i were you, i'd save my money for college, and even get loans if needed. your work will drastically improve and hopefully, when its all said and done, you can make a living off of your art. granted you might be really old. setting goals is very important to get you where you need to be.

very nice work! "untitled" is my favorite. i think you have what it takes to get into an art school. just keep creating and pushing yourself. never stop looking at art. consume it to create it.
